# Make Demos Easier to Follow With AI Voiceovers

Add AI-generated step-by-step narration to existing demos without recording or editing audio manually.

Tools: Supademo

Runs: On demand

## What it is

A workflow in AI Command, the AI assistant in the Supademo editor, that drafts one narration line per step, shorter and more benefits-focused than the hotspot text. You pick a voice from your workspace and it generates the voiceover for every step in that voice.

## Who it is for

Customer success and onboarding teams, trainers and marketers who build demos and want them narrated without recording their own voice.

## Why it matters

Recording narration yourself means retakes, and recording again whenever a button or instruction changes. With an AI voiceover, new customers hear narration as they click through, and when something changes you update that one step.

## Add the voiceover with AI Command

Open a demo in Supademo and launch AI Command from the bottom right of the editor. Ask it for a voiceover script that is shorter and more benefits-focused than the hotspot text. AI Command shows the script as a step-by-step table with a suggested voice, and you can approve it or ask for a different voice. Once you approve, it generates the narration for every step, and you preview the demo in the editor before you publish.

## What the Video Covers

- 0:00 — Get AI voiceovers without recording your voice
- 0:13 — Open your demo and launch AI Command
- 0:31 — Pick an AI voice and ask for a voiceover script
- 0:53 — Hear the AI voiceover as a viewer clicks through
- 1:09 — Update one step instead of re-recording

## Before You Start

Open your demo in the Supademo editor and click AI Command at the bottom right.

Prefer Claude or ChatGPT? Connect the Supademo MCP and ask for the same thing there.

## Step 1: Ask for a Voiceover Script

Paste this prompt into AI Command:

"I would like to add a voiceover narration to this demo. Let's create a voiceover script to play alongside this demo at each step. I want the script to be shorter than the hotspot text, benefits-focused and aid comprehension and engagement in the demo. Let's scope this out."

AI Command replies with a narration line for each step in a table, along with a suggested voice. Read through it before you go further.

## Step 2: Pick the Voice and Generate

Approve the script with the suggested voice, or ask for a different one. AI Command lists the voices in your workspace, so you can choose by accent or tone. When you approve, it generates the voiceover for every step in that voice. Preview the demo in the editor to hear it before you publish.

## What Your Viewers Get

- Narration on every step as they click through the demo
- Lines that are shorter than the on-screen text and focused on what each step does for them
- A voiceover you can change one step at a time when the product changes

## Wrapping Up

Try it on one onboarding demo your customers need. You get narration on every step without recording your voice, and you can update a single line later instead of starting over.

**Tips**

- Ask for narration that is shorter than the hotspot text, so the voice adds to what's on screen instead of reading it out
- Pick the voice by accent or tone from the voices listed in your workspace

**Gotchas**

- Approving the script without reading the step-by-step table first
- Recording the whole demo again when one button or instruction changes, when you can update that step's narration instead

**Recommendations**

- Try it first on one onboarding demo your customers need
- Preview the demo in the editor and click through a few steps to hear the voice before you publish
