Before You Start Recording, here are some best practices to ensure your demos are clear, professional, and engaging.
1. Prepare Your Environment
Close unnecessary tabs and applications to reduce distractions. Use a clean browser profile or incognito mode to hide personal bookmarks and extensions.
2. Plan Your Flow
Outline the steps you want to capture before recording. Keep demos focused on a single workflow or feature - shorter demos have higher completion rates.

Best practices for using the Chrome Extension or Desktop App
While the Chrome Extension is the fastest and easiest way to record a Supademo, for cases where you want to showcase multiple products side-by-side (i.e. showcasing a terminal to code editor workflow), the desktop recorder is most useful 🙏🏼
Snapping and sharing screenshots instantly
You can use the "Capture Screenshot" button on the Extension or Desktop App to quickly snap screenshots and copy it to your clipboard, download, or create a link. These work great for showcasing features or improvements that don't warrant a full-blown product demo. Even better, you can quickly snap a screenshot and add it to a step within an existing Supademo.
Create mobile demos with video uploads
Do you have a mobile app? Simply use the built-in iOS or Android screen recorder to walk through your app. Then upload this to Supademo, and split it into interactive steps with voiceovers, hotspots, and more!
