8 New Updates: Sandbox Auto-Linking, Expiring Links, and Better Showcase Experience

We're excited to share our latest product update with features that make creating, sharing, and managing your Supademos easier and more efficient.

Here's what's new.

1. Sandbox Demo Auto-Linking: Create Demos Faster

Our new sandbox auto-linking feature automatically connects your steps while you're recording, cutting your demo creation time in half.

How it works: Turn on sandbox mode in your settings before recording

  • As you click through each slide, we automatically link the steps together
  • Invisible hotspots are added to every element you click
  • All future instances of the same element will link to the correct slide

This means you don't have to manually link everything after recording - your sandbox demos are built as you create them.

2. Move Demos Between Workspaces (Enterprise)

Enterprise customers can now easily move demos between different workspaces. This is helpful for reorganizing content, collaborating across teams, or restructuring your demo library.

Set expiration dates for your shared demos to control how long they stay accessible. This is especially useful for sensitive product information or time-limited previews.

- Easy dropdown menu when you hover over the Share button

- Links automatically stop working after expiration

- Great for confidential demos or limited-time access

4. Dynamic Image Variables in HTML Demos

Just like you can add variables to text elements, you can now add them to image elements too. This lets you personalize images in your HTML demos.

Two ways to use this: Personalized Links: Upload different images for each variable when creating personalized demo links

  1. URL Parameters: Add image links directly in your demo URL

This makes it easy to customize demos for different audiences or use cases.

5. Multi-Workspace Permissions: Edit From Any Workspace

We fixed an issue where changes to demos wouldn't save if you were editing from a workspace that wasn't your current active one. Now you can edit demos in any workspace you're part of, and all changes will save properly.

What's improved: Edit demos in any workspace you're a member of

  • Changes save automatically regardless of your active workspace
  • No more lost work or wasted time
  • Better collaboration across all your workspaces

6. Showcase Improvements: Next Demo Preview

We've added a preview card that shows viewers what's coming next in your showcase sequence. This helps reduce drop-off rates by encouraging people to continue watching more demos.

New preview features: Appears on the second-to-last step of any demo in a showcase

  • Shows the next demo's title, description, and thumbnail
  • Works in both link share view and embed view
  • Users can dismiss the preview if they prefer
  • Automatically enabled for all new showcases

7. Showcase-Level Custom Branding

Add your logo and brand elements to individual showcases for a more professional look. This helps create a consistent brand experience across all demos in a showcase.

What you can do: Add custom logos to showcase pages

  • Maintain consistent branding across all demos in a showcase
  • Customize individual showcases as needed

8. Media Library: Better Asset Management

We've redesigned the media library to make it easier to manage and reuse your uploaded assets across different demos.

New features: Organize Assets: Add, delete, and organize all your media files

  • Reuse Across Demos: Use the same assets in multiple demos without re-uploading
  • Delete Warnings: Get alerts before deleting assets that are used in other demos
  • Centralized Location: All your media assets in one place

This helps you stay organized and ensures consistent branding across all your demos.

Frequently Asked Questions about Supademo's July 2025 updates for sandbox demos, security, and Showcases

Commonly asked questions about this topic.

What is Sandbox Auto-Linking and how does it work?

The top mistakes are starting without clear goals, buying tools before defining process, and failing to measure results consistently. Many teams also underestimate the change management required — new approaches fail not because the strategy is wrong but because adoption is poor. Invest as much in training and communication as you do in technology. 76% of teams rate internal enablement impact from interactive demos as high or very high.

How do expiring links improve security in shared content?

Start with a clear baseline measurement so you can track improvement. Focus on high-impact, low-effort wins first to build momentum and demonstrate value to stakeholders. Build feedback loops into your process — the best strategies evolve based on real-world results, not theoretical frameworks. Notably, over 150,000 professionals use Supademo to create interactive demos. Supademo was named the #5 fastest-growing software product on G2 in 2025.

What are the benefits of the new Showcase experience?

Focus on leading indicators (predictive metrics) rather than only lagging indicators (results after the fact). For 8 New Updates, useful KPIs often include adoption rate, time-to-completion, quality scores, and cost-per-outcome. Limit your dashboard to 5-7 KPIs — tracking too many dilutes focus and makes it harder to identify what's actually driving results. 45% of teams adopted top Arcade alternativess specifically to solve onboarding friction.

How can I enable auto-linking in my sandbox environment?

Begin with an audit of your current state — identify gaps, redundancies, and quick wins. Select one or two focus areas rather than trying to improve everything simultaneously. Assign clear ownership for each initiative and set 90-day milestones to maintain accountability without over-planning. According to Supademo's 2026 report, 78% of teams now use interactive demos across 2+ use cases.

What happens when a shared link expires?

Frame the business case around metrics executives care about — revenue impact, cost savings, or risk reduction. Start with a pilot that demonstrates measurable results within 30-60 days. Present data alongside competitive context: what peers and competitors are doing in this space and the cost of inaction. Bullhorn achieved 2x faster production and a 20% increase in demo engagement with Supademo.

How does the updated Showcase feature enhance user engagement?

AI is automating routine decisions, surfacing insights from large datasets, and enabling personalization that wasn't feasible manually. For 8 New Updates, this means faster iteration cycles, better targeting, and reduced manual overhead. The key is applying AI to well-defined problems with clear success criteria — vague 'add AI' initiatives rarely deliver measurable value. This is backed by data — the State of Interactive Demos 2026 report found teams using interactive demos across 3-5 use cases report up to 29% higher impact scores.

Can I customize expiration settings for my links?

AI-assisted automation, real-time analytics, and personalization at scale are reshaping 8 New Updates in 2026. Organizations are moving from manual, one-size-fits-all approaches to adaptive systems that adjust based on user behavior and outcomes. The winners are teams that adopt new capabilities incrementally rather than attempting wholesale transformation. This is backed by data — the State of Interactive Demos 2026 report found teams that update demos weekly or monthly see ~18% higher impact than those updating only for major releases.
