Build an HTML sandbox demo and personalize it per deal

Supademo captures your front end as a guided HTML demo or a sandbox, so a buyer clicks your real button, not an image of one. Run it live, leave it behind, and see which steps the buying committee opened.

What Supademo does

How does Supademo take the demo off your calendar?

A presales calendar in a normal week: Mon 2, Tue 1, Wed 3, Thu 2, Fri 1, which is 9 live demos of the same product. Build the walkthrough once and it covers all 9 without you being in the room for each one.

One interactive demo, reused

One build covers a week of live demos

The same walkthrough runs on Monday's call and Thursday's. Nobody stands up a bespoke environment for each prospect who asks to see the product.

You run the demo live from a link, clicking through the captured product the way you would in a real session: filter to their region, then run the report. It loads from a link rather than a staging account, so there is nothing to warm up before the call and nothing that can be mid-deploy at 10 AM.

Run it live, off a link

Open the demo on the call and click through it like the product. Nothing to warm up, and no staging account that someone redeployed at 9 AM.

The follow-up is the demo. You send one link after the call and it keeps reporting. 4 sessions so far, and a session reads like this: reached step 9 of 12, 6 minutes, two replays. Nobody had to book another meeting with you to see the product again.

Send the same build after the call. Whoever missed it opens the product straight away, with no slot to wait for and no second hour of your week.

The job

How does Supademo help solutions engineers?

Make your interactive demo stand up to a technical buyer

  • Guided HTML captures the front end itself, so a viewer clicks the real button rather than an image of one
  • Retype an account name, swap a logo or rewrite a table after capture, with no re-recording
  • Redact or delete elements, and blur emails, prices and account numbers before the demo leaves your building
  • Sandbox demos drop the guided steps so a prospect explores freely, with no backend behind it

Supademo captures the HTML of your product, not a picture of it, so the copy on the right is the same screen as the live app on the left: real text, real styling, clickable elements. What changes is what you change on purpose. Here "Acme Corp" has been retyped as "Delta Airlines" for one account, and the contact column is masked. A sandbox demo is the same capture with the guide rails taken off, so a prospect clicks around it freely. It is a front-end clone, not your running product, which is the honest version of the claim.

DBmaestro cut demo creation time by around 80% and stopped maintaining demo VMs.

Run it live and let the buyer steer

  • Presenter mode puts your notes and the controls in a second window while the room sees a clean demo
  • Branch at a chapter or a hotspot, so "show me the admin side" is a click, not a second meeting
  • Variables pull the account name, role and logo from the link, so the demo already says their name
  • Offline demos for the on-site pitch and the conference room where the wifi gives out

One demo branches, so a live call can go where the prospect takes it. From "Opening screen" the same build answers 3 different asks: "Show me the admin controls" in 4 steps, "How does it handle our volume?" in 6 steps, "What does my team see on day one?" in 5 steps. That is 15 steps in one demo rather than 3 separate demos to build and keep current, and the prospect chooses the path rather than watching you scroll past the parts they do not care about.

One build, branched3 paths

Chapters come with every plan. Conditional branching and dynamic variables start on the base paid plan.

See what the buying committee did after you left

  • Per-step completion, session length and replays, so you know who stopped at step 9 and who replayed it
  • One URL per person, so an open carries a name. We do not ship account reveal
  • Engagement syncs to HubSpot, Salesforce and Marketo, so viewers and drop-off land on the opportunity
  • Bundle the demo, pricing, security docs and a booking link into one link your champion can forward

The demo you leave behind keeps reporting after you log off. A typical week on one shared link: Call ends, you send a trackable link (one link per person, so opens carry a name); 2 hours, champion opens it (6 minutes, stops at step 9 of 12); Day 2, two more sessions on the same link (neither reached the pricing chapter); Day 4, someone replays the admin chapter twice; Day 6, longest session yet, 11 minutes. Supademo counts sessions, time and per-step completion on the link, so you can see where the buying committee stopped. Names attach where you sent a trackable link to one person or gated the demo behind an email. An anonymous session stays anonymous, and nothing tells you who forwarded what.

ProcessMaker put 8 to 10 hours a week per rep back on the calendar and closed a double-digit percentage more deals.

Roll it out without losing the master demo

  • Workspace Viewer is free and read-only. Reps share and read analytics; only a creator changes the demo
  • Billed per creator seat. The base paid plan adds five free view-only teammates, unlimited on higher plans
  • Everyone outside your company who opens a demo is a free viewer, on every plan including Free
  • Passwords, email gates, domain allow and block lists, and share links that stop working on a date you set

Three workspace roles decide who can change a demo and who can only send one. Workspace Admin can view and share demos, create and edit them and manage members and billing, and is a billed seat. Creator can view and share demos and create and edit them, and is a billed seat. Workspace Viewer can view and share demos, and is free. So a rep who should never edit the master demo gets Workspace Viewer and costs nothing, and you are billed only for the people who build. Prospects and customers are external viewers: unlimited and free on every plan, including Free.

Why do solutions engineers choose Supademo?

Andreas Moekesch - Supademo customer testimonial
Andreas Moekesch
Solutions Consultant, ProcessMaker

Prior to Supademo, we were spending countless hours putting together demos and videos across discovery, qualification, training, or simply answering common questions. Creating these could take upwards of 8-10 hours, which is both painful for us, but also less engaging for prospects.

What I'm doing when I'm presenting or creating a custom demo for a client, it used to take me around about three to four days because that's a lot of stuff.

We appreciate the ability to create both interactive demos and screenshots instantly, the AI annotations/translations, and the ability to overlay voiceovers to our interactive demos. These features are huge time-savers when it comes to creating enablement demos at scale.

Common questions from SEs

In the order this group actually asks them.

FAQ illustration

Can Supademo really replicate our product, or does it just look like it?

Guided HTML demos capture the front end of your application: the real text, the real styling, hover states and clickable elements. A viewer clicks the button rather than a picture of the button, and you can retype an account name or rewrite a table after capture without re-recording.

The clone is front end only. Your backend, your live data and your API are not part of it. Sandbox demos remove the guided steps so a prospect can explore freely, and they are still a captured front end. If your demo genuinely needs a live backend to show anything at all, that is a different category of tool and we will tell you that on the call rather than in month two.

Captured values get rewritten from a plain-English instruction, and AI Command applies the same change across a whole library at once.

Can a solutions engineer run Supademo live on a call, or is it only a leave-behind?

Both, from the same build. You open the link on the call and click through it the way you would the product. Presenter mode puts your notes and the controls in a second window while your audience sees a clean demo.

Chapters and conditional branching mean that when somebody asks to see the admin side, you branch to it instead of booking a second session. And offline demos exist for the customer site where you cannot rely on their guest wifi.

What does Supademo show about who watched a demo?

Per-step completion, session length, replays and drop-off, on every link. Send a trackable link and each person gets their own URL, so an open carries a name. Gate the demo behind an email and the viewer names themselves. A session with neither stays anonymous.

Account reveal and viewer de-anonymization are not features we ship, so nobody should promise your VP a list of everyone who saw it. Engagement syncs to HubSpot, Salesforce and Marketo on paid plans, so most-engaged viewers and drop-off points land on the opportunity rather than in a dashboard nobody opens. Our MCP server exposes the same sessions to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Copilot, so you can ask which accounts replayed a step.

How does Supademo stop a sales rep sending a version nobody approved?

Creators build and edit. The free Workspace Viewer role can view, share and read analytics, and cannot create or edit anything, so a rep gets the link and the numbers while the master demo stays with the people who own it.

Share links can carry a password, require an email, allow or block specific domains, and expire on a date you set. Enterprise adds SSO via SAML 2.0, separate workspaces and audit logs.

What does Supademo cost, and does every solutions engineer need a seat?

You are billed per creator seat, meaning the people who record and edit. Everyone outside your company who opens a demo is a free viewer, unlimited on every plan including Free. Internal teammates who only view, share and read analytics sit on free view-only seats: five on the base paid plan, unlimited on the higher ones.

Worth knowing before you get attached to them: guided HTML and sandbox demos each start on a higher plan. Pricing has the full comparison, and annual billing saves around a quarter.

Do we still need our demo environment if we use Supademo?

Plenty of teams keep one for proofs of concept and security reviews, and stop using it for the first three calls of every deal. DBmaestro cut demo creation time by around 80% and stopped maintaining demo VMs for partner onboarding.

If your product needs a live backend before it shows anything useful, keep the environment and use captures for the repeatable parts of the pitch, which is usually most of them.

How long before a presales team is actually using Supademo?

Recording a screen is the only skill involved, so the person who knows the workflow records it, and most teams have the first demo out the same week. Growth plans include white-glove onboarding and Enterprise adds unlimited onboarding and training sessions.

At ProcessMaker, a single demo or video used to take 8 to 10 hours to put together; the team now saves 8 to 10 hours a week per rep and has closed a double-digit percentage more deals.

How is this different from Storylane, Navattic, Reprise or Consensus?

Storylane and Navattic are the closest on captured, guided demos. Reprise and Demostack sit further toward demo environments your team maintains. Consensus is video-led demo automation.

Supademo does guided HTML capture, sandbox demos, branching and AI voiceover in one product, with unlimited free viewers on every plan. Our comparison pages put each of them next to us feature by feature, including the cases where they are the better answer.
