The Downloads Section

The final sharing option is Downloads.

Downloads turn Supademos into static files. Once a demo is downloaded, it no longer updates automatically. Any changes made to the original Supademo will not be reflected in the downloaded version.

Because of this, downloads are best used when a live demo isn't an option, or when a static asset is specifically required.

Video Downloads

Video downloads are the most common format. They support multiple resolutions and frame rates, with up to 4K available on Scale plans and above. Video downloads always play linearly, so any conditional branching is ignored. If a demo includes branching, it's best to simplify the flow before downloading.

GIF Exports

GIF exports are useful for quick explanations, lightweight sharing, or email embeds where short visual context is enough.

Text and HTML Exports

Text and HTML exports convert hotspot content into step-by-step written instructions. These are often used for documentation or training materials.

PDF Exports

PDF exports include screenshots along with their associated text, making them useful for guides or offline reference.

PNG Exports

PNG exports are optimized for sharing on platforms like LinkedIn, email, or social channels. Email-optimized PNGs include basic analytics such as timestamp, browser, and location, but they do not identify individual viewers.

When to Use Downloads

Downloads are a useful fallback when interactivity isn't required — but whenever possible, live Supademo links provide richer experiences, better tracking, and easier maintenance.

Downloads round out the sharing options available directly within the Share page for individual demos.

In the next lesson, the focus shifts from sharing a single demo to sharing multiple demos at once. That's where we'll look at multi-demo sharing options like showcases, folder sharing, and demo hubs — which are designed for situations where one demo isn't enough and viewers need access to a broader set of content through a single entry point.
