Before you start

Open AI Command from the menu in the bottom-right corner of your Supademo workspace. You'll need a folder of help demos, ideally each one teaching a single task.

The same prompts work in Claude or ChatGPT once you connect the Supademo MCP.

How it works

Open AI Command from your Supademo workspace and paste the first prompt, filled in with your product, your help demos folder and the first milestone a new user should reach. AI Command recommends the demos to watch, in order, with a reason for each, and flags anything a new user needs that you don't have a demo for. Check the picks and the order before you continue. The second prompt builds the showcase with the checklist layout, a short task label for each demo and a one-sentence intro. New users then get one link that ticks off each demo as they finish it.

Chapters

  1. 1Step 1 of 2

    Pick the Demos

Paste this prompt, with your product, folder and first milestone filled in:

    Prompt
I want new [product] users to onboard themselves with a self-paced checklist instead of a live onboarding call. Look through our [Help Docs] demos and recommend five to seven that a brand-new user should watch, in the order they should take them, to go from signing up to [their first milestone]. Each one should teach a single task. Give a one-line reason for each, and flag anything a new user would need that we don't have a demo for. Show me the list before creating anything.

AI Command lists the demos in order with a reason for each, and flags any gaps. Check that the order makes sense for someone brand new before you go further.

  2. 2Step 2 of 2

    Build the Checklist

When the list looks right, send:

    Prompt
Looks good. Create a showcase called "Get started with [product]" with those demos in that order. Use the checklist layout, give each item a short task label, and add a one-sentence intro explaining what they'll be able to do by the end.

AI Command creates the showcase. Open it and click through a few demos to see the checklist tick off as you go.

What a New User Gets

  • One link with everything they need to get started
  • The demos in order, each with a short task label
  • A checklist that ticks off each demo as they finish it

Tips

  • Ask for demos that each teach a single task, so every checklist item is one clear step
  • Have it flag missing topics, so you know which demos to record next
  • Point it at your help docs folder and name the first milestone a new user should reach
  • Open the finished showcase and click through it the way a new user would

Watch out for

  • Letting it create the showcase before you've checked the list and the order
  • Including demos that cover several tasks at once, which makes the checklist harder to follow

Try it with your next new customer. They learn the basics on their own, in the right order, without waiting for another onboarding call.
