1. New Hotspot Options

With this new feature update, you now have more granular control over the look and feel of your Supademo hotspots.

Programmable Back Button

Similar to the "Next" button on a hotspot, you can now set the destination slide for the "Back" button on a hotspot.

This can be useful when you want viewers to be able to "jump back" to the previous slide they came from, which is handy for conditional branching sequences.

You can now decide whether you want a particular hotspot to have Navigation Button or Show/Hide on Hover, instead of having to apply this across every hotspot for a Supademo.

These options can be useful for instances where: You have multiple hotspots on one slide and want to save space;

  • You want to highlight a primary section while showcasing secondary/tertiary points on the same page;

2. Showcase Improvements & Design Updates

We've made several key updates to Showcases to make them more intuitive and customizable – especially within embeds.

Display Sidebar Sections by Default

You now have the option to hide or display the sidebar navigation for a Showcase on it's first load. This is helpful for highlighting the Showcase sections and options when embedded on a homepage, knowledge base, or learning management system.

You can easily toggle this option on/off directly on the Share page of the Showcase.

Trigger Showcases in In-App Tours

You can now trigger any Showcase from your workspace as an in-app tour. Simply copy your Showcase's ID and add it to any trigger to open it as a modal overlay within your native product experience.

Showcase Design Options

Customize your Showcase with your own color or theme to reflect these changes in the sidebar navigation. Choose between a light or dark theme to achieve your desired effect.

This improvement is arriving at a later update next week.

3. Play and Pause During Autoplay

This feature unlocks the ability for viewers to play and pause any Supademo with Autoplay or Loop enabled.

  • Simply pause at any slide by clicking the button on the top right.
  • Unpause the Supademo and it will continue to play automatically using the custom duration set.

This comes in handy when you want to auto-progress the Supademo without user action, but you want viewers to be able to pause and narrow their focus for slides that interest them.

Trade shows, expositions, and conference booths are great use cases for this feature.
