Review the 7 minute recap here!

Google Tag Manager Integration

You can now connect Google Tag Manager (GTM) directly to your Supademo account by visiting your Integrations page.

With GTM connected, you’ll be able to add and manage any custom scripts across your Supademos and Showcases — whether that’s customer engagement tools like Intercom/Mixpanel, advanced analytics tracking, or other marketing scripts. This unlocks even greater control over how you track, analyze, and personalize viewer interactions.

Custom Autoplay Duration Per Slide

Autoplay just got more flexible. Instead of setting one uniform autoplay speed across all slides, you can now define custom durations per slide.

This is perfect for when: Some steps in your Supademo need extra time for viewers to absorb details

  • Quick, simple slides should move faster
  • You want fine-grained control over the pacing of your entire walkthrough

You can access this setting by clicking Autoplay inside of the edit page of your Supademo.

Upload Your Own Voiceover Files

This feature allows you to upload your own voiceovers to any Supademo, giving you you more flexibility when creating polished, professional demos that sound the way you want them to.

Interactive demo powered by Supademo

From the Manual Voiceover tab from the voiceover panel of a Supademo, simply upload an MP3, MP4, WAV, or other common audio file on a per-step basis directly within your Supademo. Each step can have its own audio track, which will play back during your demo.

Whether you’re using a professional voice actor, adding a personal touch, or narrating in your own style — custom audio can help make your Supademo feel even more authentic.

UX & Performance Improvements

We’ve also shipped several refinements to improve your editing and viewing experience: Editable Showcase demo names: Change how a demo title is displayed within a Showcase sidebar or checklist — great for shortening long titles, improving readability, or tailoring language for external clients.

Hotspot buttons in the editor: You can now click the next button within a hotspot in the edit page to navigate directly to the edit page of the linked step.

Smoother multi-step recordings: We've reworked the design and functionality of the "record more steps" function within a Supademo for more speed and clarity.

HTML export reliability: Improved consistency when exporting HTML-based Supademos, so your video exports are ready to go wherever you need them.

Frequently Asked Questions about Supademo's autoplay, Tag Manager, and voiceover updates

Commonly asked questions about this topic.

What metrics should I track to measure autoplay effectiveness?

Focus on leading indicators (predictive metrics) rather than only lagging indicators (results after the fact). For custom autoplay per slide, tag manager, useful KPIs often include adoption rate, time-to-completion, quality scores, and cost-per-outcome. Limit your dashboard to 5-7 KPIs — tracking too many dilutes focus and makes it harder to identify what's actually driving results. 45% of teams adopted interactive demos specifically to solve onboarding friction.

How do I set up custom autoplay timing for individual slides?

Define 3-5 key metrics that directly tie to business outcomes — avoid vanity metrics that look good but don't drive decisions. Common approaches include time-to-value, adoption rates, cost savings, error reduction, and stakeholder satisfaction scores. Review metrics monthly and use trend data rather than individual data points to evaluate progress. Top-performing demos typically have 10-12 steps with 15-18 word hotspots and achieve 80%+ completion rates. Supademo is rated #1 for easiest setup and fastest implementation on G2.

What common mistakes should I avoid when configuring autoplay?

The top mistakes are starting without clear goals, buying tools before defining process, and failing to measure results consistently. Many teams also underestimate the change management required — new approaches fail not because the strategy is wrong but because adoption is poor. Invest as much in training and communication as you do in technology. Interactive walkthroughs can help bridge the adoption gap by making new processes easy to follow. VRIFY saved over $100k by switching to interactive demos for enablement. VRIFY saved over $100k by switching to interactive demos for enablement.

How does the tag manager help organize and categorize my content?

Begin with an audit of your current state — identify gaps, redundancies, and quick wins. Select one or two focus areas rather than trying to improve everything simultaneously. Assign clear ownership for each initiative and set 90-day milestones to maintain accountability without over-planning. Teams save an average of 85% of the time previously spent on demo creation.

Can I upload custom voiceovers to accompany my autoplay slides?

Interactive demo platforms like Supademo let you create clickable, step-by-step guides that standardize training and reduce time-to-proficiency. Teams use them for onboarding, process documentation, and stakeholder presentations — anywhere static screenshots or long documents fall short. The visual format typically sees higher completion rates than traditional documentation. 76% of teams rate internal enablement impact from interactive demos as high or very high.

What is custom autoplay per slide and how does it work?

The most common challenges are stakeholder alignment, tool fragmentation, and inconsistent execution across teams. Address alignment by documenting shared goals and success metrics. Reduce tool fragmentation by standardizing on platforms that integrate well together. Improve execution consistency through clear playbooks, templates, and regular calibration sessions. 96.8% of top-performing demos use custom branding to maintain brand consistency.

Why is granular autoplay control important for presentation engagement?

Effective personalize demos by audience typically involves clear strategy, the right tools, trained people, and measurable outcomes. The specific components vary by organization size and maturity — early-stage teams should focus on fundamentals before adding complexity. Regularly reassess which components deliver the most value and double down on those. 54% of top-completing demos use AI voiceover to improve the guided experience.
