New in October 2026: Built-In Screen Recorder, Hotspot Styling & AI Command Auto-Approve

October’s biggest release is a screen recorder built into Supademo. It zooms in on your clicks automatically, lets you cut the video by editing its transcript, adds captions, and can do the editing for you with AI.
We also added more ways to size and style hotspots, put AI Command next to the features you use, and shipped SCORM export, gated Showcases, and AI Demo Agent upgrades.
Here’s everything new in Supademo for October.
Record and edit videos inside Supademo

Supademo’s new screen recorder adds automatic zoom and pan, automatic captions, and AI video editing, so you can finally ditch Loom for free.
Turn on the recorder and click through anything. You get an animated recording with zooms, cursor tracking, and captions.
Adjust every zoom on the timeline

Every zoom appears on the timeline, where you can move, retime, or delete it. You can also add your own zooms and set how long each one lasts and how far it zooms in.
Cut the video by editing its transcript

The new transcript editor sits next to the video. Delete words or sentences from the transcript, and Supademo cuts that part of the video.
It also flags filler words and long pauses as suggested cuts. You choose what to cut and what to keep, and Supademo smooths the audio between cuts. Record in one take, ums and all, and clean it up in a couple of minutes.
Add captions automatically

Captions come from the same transcript, so correcting a product name in the transcript fixes the caption too. Choose a caption style and position, and those settings carry through to the player and your exports.
Let AI edit the video, then turn it into a demo

If you’d rather have AI do the editing, open AI Command and ask it to cut dead time and speed up typing and scrolling. AI video editing is now on for every workspace.
From there, ask AI Command to turn the video into a clickable demo. One recording gives you both a video and an interactive demo.
Resize and restyle hotspots
Hotspots are the callouts that guide viewers through an interactive demo. You now have more control over their size, dimensions, and text. Read the hotspot docs.
Resize hotspot cards on the canvas
Open a hotspot and drag the handles on the canvas to resize its card. The dimensions update as you drag, and the size setting changes to Custom. Small, Medium, and Large are still there if you want a preset.
Use text styles from body text to H1
The text toolbar now has styles from body text up to H1 headings. Give a heading and its description different sizes within the same card. Headings scale down on phones and in exports.
Add hotspots that don’t need a click
A new No action option in the hotspot’s Navigation setting keeps the hotspot’s look and text, but viewers don’t have to click it and there are no Back or Next buttons.
Use it for hotspots that label or explain, such as a callout on a chart in a marketing tour or a note on a field in a training demo.
You can change any of these settings by typing a prompt in AI Command.
Find AI Command next to the features you use
Run ready-made prompts in context

The Command icon now appears next to more of the features you use. Each one runs a ready-made prompt with the current context attached, so you get more out of the feature you’re on without working out what to ask.
For example, click Rewrite next to a hotspot’s text, or the Command icon in the voiceover panel. In the demo editor, you’ll find prompts to tighten the flow, polish text, or translate the demo.
Feature pages across Supademo also show suggested prompts for the page you’re on, from quick tips to edits Command can run for you.
Switch longer tasks to Auto-approve

For longer tasks, such as applying changes to dozens of demos, you can switch a Command session from Ask first to Auto-approve. Command can then run up to 20 steps in a single reply.
For example, ask it to rewrite every hotspot across a batch of demos and then add voiceover, without coming back to approve each step. Anything that leaves Supademo, such as sending an email or updating your CRM, still asks first.
Share demos through your LMS, gated Showcases, and forms
Export any demo or Showcase to SCORM

You can now export any demo or Showcase as a SCORM package and upload it to your LMS, on any plan. Choose what counts as complete: finishing the demo, viewing it for a set amount of time, clicking a button, or opening the module.
Put a whole Showcase behind a form or password

You can now gate an entire Showcase with a form or password chapter. Use a password for a partner enablement library, or collect an email before a prospect opens your demos.
Collect more with new form fields
Forms now support checkbox, multi-select, date, email, and phone fields. Multi-select answers map to HubSpot and Salesforce automatically.
Keep translated demos up to date
When you change text that has been translated, the editor now flags which languages need an update. AI voiceovers also speak Czech and Russian. Read about AI translations.
Get better answers from AI Demo Agents
This month’s AI Demo Agent changes cover how agents answer questions and how they keep their knowledge current.
- Starter questions first. Agents now answer a visitor’s starter question before they start discovery.
- Topic changes. When a visitor asks “can you show me X,” the agent finds the right demo instead of staying on the old topic.
- Translated demos. Agent chats now support translated demos, and demos open in the agent’s language when a translation is available.
- Fresher website sources. Website sources refresh every 14 days, and you can see when each one last synced.
- Conflict checks. The editor flags conflicting information across sources, so you can review it before a visitor gets two different answers.
- Captions on phones. On phones, captions now start off, so they don’t cover the demo.

The October updates are live in your workspace. If you try one thing this month, open a recording and delete a sentence from the transcript. Tell us what you think, or add your next request to the feedback board.
