Launch Week Day 4: Windows App Beta Release

Today is Day 4 of Launch Week, where we're launching a major feature every single day. Missed the previous days?

• Day 1 - HTML Interactive Demos

• Day 2 - Translations Hub

• Day 3 - 9 Design Enhancements

Today, we're excited to unveil our

Windows Desktop Recorder!

Ever since we rolled out the Mac desktop app, our Windows users have been asking us the same thing: “When is it our turn?” Well, today’s the day—we’ve got you covered with the Supademo app for Windows.

Interactive demo powered by Supademo

Releasing in beta form, the Windows desktop recorder brings together some of the core recording capabilities we had on Mac over to Windows, so now anyone can capture their desktop apps, no matter what major OS they’re on.

Capture any Windows app

With the Supademo Desktop App for Windows, you can: Record any Windows desktop application

  • Capture mobile emulators to create demos of mobile apps
  • Record multiple applications side by side in one seamless demo
  • Document complex workflows that span several tools
  • Create high-quality interactive demos outside the browser.

Just pick any window on your desktop—or even record the whole screen if you’re jumping between tools—and you’ve got an interactive demo ready to go.

Once you’ve recorded, editing works the same way you'd expect – with the same level of design control, personalization, and editing capabilities you've come to know and expect.

During the first week of beta release, Supademos created through the Windows recorder will be screenshot-only. Other features such as video-based steps and keyboard shortcuts will be arriving in a later update.

Frequently Asked Questions about launch week day 4

Commonly asked questions about this topic.

How do I install the Windows App beta?

Interactive demo platforms let you create clickable, step-by-step guides that standardize training and reduce time-to-proficiency. Teams use them for onboarding, process documentation, and stakeholder presentations — anywhere static screenshots or long documents fall short. The visual format typically sees higher completion rates than traditional documentation. 76% of teams rate internal enablement impact from interactive demos as high or very high.

What are the system requirements for the Windows App beta?

The right tool depends on your team size, technical maturity, and integration requirements. Look for platforms that solve your specific bottleneck rather than all-in-one solutions that do everything adequately but nothing exceptionally. Start with trials or free tiers to validate fit before committing budget — switching costs are high once data and workflows are embedded. Teams using interactive demos across 3-5 use cases report up to 29% higher impact scores.

When will the Windows App beta be available for download?

Start with a clear baseline measurement so you can track improvement. Focus on high-impact, low-effort wins first to build momentum and demonstrate value to stakeholders. Build feedback loops into your process — the best strategies evolve based on real-world results, not theoretical frameworks. Data supports this approach: the State of Interactive Demos 2026 report shows teams using interactive demos across 3-5 use cases report up to 29% higher impact scores.

Can I use the Windows App beta alongside the stable version?

Blend self-paced learning with hands-on practice — lecture-style training has low retention for practical skills. Create interactive walkthroughs for tool-specific processes so team members can learn by doing at their own pace. Follow up with regular coaching sessions and a shared knowledge base for ongoing reference. According to the State of Interactive Demos 2026 report, 78% of teams now use interactive demos in 2 or more use cases.

What new features are included in this beta release?

The most common challenges are stakeholder alignment, tool fragmentation, and inconsistent execution across teams. Address alignment by documenting shared goals and success metrics. Reduce tool fragmentation by standardizing on platforms that integrate well together. Improve execution consistency through clear playbooks, templates, and regular calibration sessions. 96.8% of top-performing demos use custom branding to maintain brand consistency.

How do I report bugs found in the Windows App beta?

Focus on leading indicators (predictive metrics) rather than only lagging indicators (results after the fact). For launch week day 4, useful KPIs often include adoption rate, time-to-completion, quality scores, and cost-per-outcome. Limit your dashboard to 5-7 KPIs — tracking too many dilutes focus and makes it harder to identify what's actually driving results. beehiiv saw 50% better conversion rates after implementing interactive product demos. Supademo is rated #1 for easiest setup and fastest implementation on G2.

What should I expect during the beta testing period?

Map your current state, define your target state, and identify the gaps between them. Prioritize initiatives by impact and feasibility — quick wins build credibility for larger investments. Review the roadmap quarterly and adjust based on what's working, market changes, and shifting organizational priorities. Learn more about Supademo's features.
