1. In-App Screen Recorder

Interactive demo powered by Supademo

With our new in-app screen recorder, you can quickly record a video of your desktop, webcam, or both, directly within Supademo. The best part? No login, download, or installation required.

Whether you're creating a quick, one-off screen recording for internal communications or adding a personalized intro slide to an existing Supademo, the in-app video recorder is fast, easy, and intuitive to use.

How to record videos of your screen or webcam

Step 1: From your dashboard, click on

"Create" ➡ "Record Screen". Or click "

+ Add Step" ➡ "Record Screen" within the edit page of any Supademo.

Step 2: Choose your desired layout (camera, screen, or combination) and click ‘Allow’ to give Supademo access to record your screen. Then you can hit "

Record ".

Step 3: Click "Stop Recording" once finished. Your screen recording video will be added as a step within your Supademo, or as a standalone file you can download or share as a link.

After you've completed your recording, you can optionally use video splitting or add hotspots to make your video interactive. This also means that you can create interactive demos, screen recordings, and shareable screenshots – all in one place.

2. New Chapter Design Options

Chapters are now more customizable than ever before – including: • Customize blur and opacity intensity;

• Choose your Chapter heading and subheading colors;

• Set custom colors, gradients, or images for Chapter backgrounds;

Here's a short interactive walkthrough on these design options 👇🏽

3. Hotspots on Video Steps

A simple feature but a useful one – you can now add hotspots to any video step.

Whether you want to add navigation buttons for an uploaded video slide or add contextual text for a recorded video step – use the edit toolbar to add them in seconds.

4. Coming Soon: HTML Demo Recording

At Supademo, we want to help companies create better product demos of all types – whether it's multi-step onboarding demos, quick feature-specific product tours, or pixel-perfect copies of your actual product experience.

That's why we're excited to announce that Supademo will soon support HTML-based interactive demo recording.

With this launch, customers will have the best of both worlds – quick, intuitive, and fast screenshot and video based demos, alongside higher-fidelity product demos that clone your entire HTML, CSS, and Javascript to mimic your actual product. These true-to-life HTML-based interactive demos will allow for extensive post-recording customization, including: • Easy editing of text, content, data, and images to tailor to specific prospects;

• More usage and integration of dynamic variables to update content within the interactive demo;

• More elegant blurring and hiding of sensitive data and/or divs;

• Swapping logos, names, media, and content within the recorded product demo in a one-off or dynamic basis;

HTML demo recording will be arriving in December, with beta access opening well before this date. Want to help us beta test and provide feedback? Request access👇🏽

Frequently Asked Questions about in-app screen recorder, new chapter design, html recording soon

Commonly asked questions about this topic.

What is in-app screen recorder and why does it matter?

In-app screen recorder helps organizations improve efficiency, reduce costs, and deliver better outcomes. Understanding the fundamentals is critical before investing in tools or processes — many teams jump to solutions without clearly defining the problem they're solving. Start by mapping your current state and identifying the highest-impact opportunities. The average time from recording to publishing a Supademo is just 3.5 minutes. The average time from recording to publishing a Supademo is just 3.5 minutes. RB2B eliminated 60+ hours of sales calls in just 30 days using interactive demos.

What tools and platforms support in-app screen recorder?

The right tool depends on your team size, technical maturity, and integration requirements. Look for platforms that solve your specific bottleneck rather than all-in-one solutions that do everything adequately but nothing exceptionally. Interactive demo platforms can help standardize training and documentation across teams, reducing onboarding time and support burden. 76% of teams rate internal enablement impact from interactive demos as high or very high.

How do you train a team on in-app screen recorder?

Blend self-paced learning with hands-on practice — lecture-style training has low retention for practical skills. Interactive walkthroughs let team members learn by doing at their own pace, and they can revisit specific steps later as a reference. Follow up with regular coaching sessions and a shared knowledge base for ongoing support. For example, VRIFY reduced enablement content production time by 75% using Supademo.

How do organizations get started with in-app screen recorder?

Begin with an audit of your current state — identify gaps, redundancies, and quick wins. Select one or two focus areas rather than trying to improve everything simultaneously. Assign clear ownership for each initiative and set 90-day milestones to maintain accountability without over-planning. Teams using interactive demos across 3-5 use cases report up to 29% higher impact scores.

What are proven strategies for in-app screen recorder?

Start with a clear baseline measurement so you can track improvement. Focus on high-impact, low-effort wins first to build momentum and demonstrate value to stakeholders. Build feedback loops into your process — the best strategies evolve based on real-world results, not theoretical frameworks. 96.8% of top-performing demos use custom branding to maintain brand consistency.

Who benefits most from in-app screen recorder?

Teams dealing with scale, complexity, or cross-functional coordination tend to see the biggest returns from desktop screen recorder software. SaaS companies, enterprises with distributed teams, and fast-growing organizations often have the most urgent need. The benefits compound over time — early investment in the right approach pays dividends as you scale. Bullhorn achieved 2x faster production and a 20% increase in demo engagement with Supademo.

What KPIs should you track for in-app screen recorder?

Focus on leading indicators (predictive metrics) rather than only lagging indicators (results after the fact). For free recording and editing tools, useful KPIs often include adoption rate, time-to-completion, quality scores, and cost-per-outcome. Limit your dashboard to 5-7 KPIs — tracking too many dilutes focus and makes it harder to identify what's actually driving results. 45% of teams adopted interactive demos specifically to solve onboarding friction.
